Why choose White Rock Salt over Brown Rock Salt?
The main reason is that it offers a cleaner gritting solution, that leaves minimal residue whilst effectively tackling the ice.  Unlike brown rock salt which leaves muddy surfaces after melting, white rock salt melts ice and snow fast, but leaves a clean, safe surface
White rock salt contains finer granules than brown and although isn't produced in the UK it is the most commonly used, due to it being cleaner on carpets etc near pedrestian entrances etc. it is a better choice for places with high pedestrian traffic such as schools and colleges, universities, dentists, clinics or care homes.
