The shade guides of the IPS e.max Ceram materials are an integral part of the product concept. The shade guides and the individual shade tabs can be sterilized in an autoclave to prevent cross-contamination in the oral cavity. The dentin shade tabs feature a textured surface and anatomical shape for light refraction purposes. The other shade tabs are slightly wedge shaped to better illustrate the translucency of the individual materials. The individual attachments and holders of the IPS e.max Ceram shade guides are coloured light grey to differentiate them from the shade guides of other materials (e.g. IPS d.SIGN, IPS InLine).
